Ice Bear Softभारत के रंगبھارت کے رنگ — The Colours of India

(All photos on this page are digitally signed.)

Preview PDF A book of photos from a trip to several cities in the norther part of India was published on 28th November 2012. The book is neither a book of travels nor a tourist guide. The main stress is laid on colour photos. The book is written in Czech but the names of cities, palaces and other places will also be given in Hindi, some text will also appear in Urdu. Apart from the information on monuments the text will reflect the author's personal feelings. The book will show both historical monuments and common places as well as the everyday life including nowaday's traffic and pictures taken in the Railway museum in Delhi. The pictures will show animals living freely in the cities. Plants growing on streets, in parks and gardens will also be shown. One of the pictures will show you a statue that you would hardly expect in India. Historical monuments cannot be omitted. The book contains among others Qutub Minar, Jama Masjid, Shahi Sunahri Masjid, Tughlaqabad, Gita Mandir, Fatehpur Sikri. You can of course see the famous Tajmahal.

The aim of this book is not to provide historical information on India. In spite of that I tried to include true and precise information on cities and palaces shown in the book. I found serious discrepancies in various sources. I tried to resolve them but it was not always possible. I include mainly information taken from sources written in Hindi and Urdu.

The book contains 200 pages of A4 size (210 mm x 297 mm) with hard cover. Only a limited number of books were produced. The second impression is not planned unless a very high number of orders are accepted. The preview of a part of the book (in low resolution) can be downloaded by clicking to the image of the cover page (1.3 MB). The book has no ISBN and will not be available in libraries.
